Network Security Services Description

Mozilla’s Network Security Services (NSS) project is an open source collection of powerful libraries especially created to support cross-platform development of security-enabled server and client applications. The applications developed with NSS (Network Security Services) will be able to support TLS, SSL (v2/v3), PKCS #12, PKCS #11, PKCS #7, PKCS #5, X.509 v3 certificates, S/MIME, as well as other security standards. Network Security Services is known to provide a complete open source implementation of the cryptographic libraries used by major companies like Red Hat, AOL, Oracle, and others.
