GNOME Maps is an open source and free graphical application for the GNOME desktop environment, designed to act as a maps software for GNOME 3. GNOME Maps will provides features like address lookup (reverse geocoding), routing, public transportation, and even "Checkin" or "Where's my friends?" functions. With GNOME Maps you will be able to search locations, get directions, pin locations, bookmark favorite locations, check-in on specific locations, and much more. The software is available as a preview version in GNOME 3.10, and it will be officially unveiled with the GNOME 3.12 release.
