Apache OpenNLP Description

Apache OpenNLP is an open source and completely free software library designed to act as a toolkit, based on machine learning, that can be used for NLP (Natural Language Processing). Being designed to process natural language text, Apache OpenNLP supports the most common NLP tasks, such as sentence segmentation, tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, chunking, coreference resolution, named entity extraction, and parsing. However, these tasks are usually required to create complex text processing services. Apache OpenNLP also includes maximum perceptron and entropy based machine learning. Apache OpenNLP is distributed as a standalone application by the Apache Software Foundation.
