tclvisa Description
tclvisa was developed as an Open Source Tcl binding to the VISA (Virtual Instrument Software Architecture) API. It allows you to use VISA functionality from regular Tcl scripts via a set of commands. Most of the commands have similar names and are intuitive to use for the ones that know the VISA API. It is linked to Tcl as a standard extension following the Tcl Extension Architecture (TEA) conventions. VISA is, generally speaking, a measurement instrument contolling API. It provides unified interface for multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.
