With the Maker it is fun and easy to create cross-platform, image-based, interactive musical experiences. The pixound Maker is designed for use by web developers, musicians and/or artists. With the Maker creative individuals and teams can easily infuse any kind of graphic with a patented new kind of musical interaction. The experiences created with the Maker are currently distributed in two forms: the .pxd file, for adding pixound to web pagesthe pixound applet or pixAppTM for use off-line as a stand-alonePixound allows you to play pictures musically by moving the mouse over them. As you move the mouse, the colors are translated into musical notes in a particular scale and key. The Red, Green and Blue components each are assigned a separate instrument so you have an instant trio jamming away and each picture is a new "score."
