What happens quite often is that one does do planning to achieve long term goals in life. However the problem with it is usually the ability or the focus required to stay with the plan to stay for the long term. Writing down these goals on a piece of paper is supposed to help as would a plan on a computer. But to stay focused with a plan, something like this application may be a big help. It has been known that visual stimulation has always been more powerful than written reminders, which is the basis for the design of the focusKONTROL software. This easy to use software reaffirms your desires and keeps your mind focused by constantly motivating you with the visual reminders of your goals from your desktop. Once the application is installed the user supplies the images and messages that stimulate him/her. The application then keeps running in the background and comes up at set intervals with the messages and images that remind you of the focus the long term goals you are pursuing. There are several important areas into which one could arrange the message. For example it could be “smile”, “wealth affirmations” “personal”, “posture” and so on. These as well as messages in each category can be edited easily. This program is also careful not to interrupt your work when it is displayed, but rather displayed in the background at your predefined intervals. The messages appear a little like one of those instant messenger pop ups. You could change the look or the position where it appears to keep them unobtrusive, definitely be noticed. Thereby you get the periodical stimulation necessary to keep you in focus. Cons: I do not get a feel, personally of how effective this can become. But, I guess, must be useful for some.
