Xfire Plus Description

If you are an Xfire user and you want to use the name of the song you're listening to as a status message, Xfire Plus is one of the apps able to do that for you. And it doesn't really matter which music player you're using because the application comes with support for a wide array of applications, including Winamp, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, iTunes, Foobar 2000, VLC Media Player, Nero Media Player and Quintessential Media Player. Especially designed with this goal in mind, Xfire Plus has no complicated features, so the app is pretty easy to use, placing an icon in System Tray to provide access to the main settings. Speaking of settings, besides choosing the audio player you're using, Xfire Plus also lets you set up the way your status should look like, with a simple dialog to input the text to appear next to the playing song. Other than that, Xfire Plus is just a basic software solution that works very smooth on all Windows versions, while remaining very light on hardware resources all the time. As said, it places an icon in the Windows System Tray but that doesn't slow down the operating system at all and doesn't even ask for administrator privileges to run on Windows 7. Overall, Xfire Plus is a useful piece of software if you're an Xfire user and you listen to music a lot. It can be configured in a second, it has a minimal interface and runs smooth regardless of the operating system installed on your machine.
