Simple-to-handle UIThe interface presents a pretty plain and simple build, as it consists of a few buttons, several slider bars and a few bars which enable you to track, in real-time, the long and current peak. While it is not so easy on the eyes, Help contents are supported, thus enabling all user categories to find their way around it. Configurations available and deactivating the toolThe main window enables you to easily control the desired peak level, the attack (decrease) and decay rate, the minimum and maximum allowed volume, as well as the long peak sample time, volume adjustment time interval and current volume. Evaluation and conclusionsIn our tests, Volume Limiter / Compressor did not put a strain on the computer’s performance, as the CPU and memory usage is minimal at all times. The interface is not so appealing, yet lets you find all options with ease, regardless of your experience level. The response time is good and we did not come across any bugs or hangs in our tests.
