TSW SiteSync Description

TSW SiteSync software was designed to help you keep your websites in sync, between your computer and an FTP server. TSW SiteSync is the "worry less, get more done" solution for managing your websites. It offers painless and safe synchronization of your local and remote website content, a fully featured FTP client for working with your files, a built-in mini editor and file diff tool, along with other time saving features. TSW SiteSync even comes with a built-in FTP client with all the most common features, allowing you to do manual uploads and downloads as well as maintaining your remote version of the site. With the mini editor you can make modifications to both local and remote files, and get them synchronized on the fly. If you're even in doubt whether to replace a local version of a file with the remote equivalent, TSW SiteSync let's you do a visual comparison, using a well known "diff" interface. Click, click, click - synchronization is done! Perform a complete synchronization of your website with just a few clicks. SiteSync makes sure that only files which are new or changed are transferred, and through the two-step procedure and the flexible filter rules, you can leave out unwanted files very easily, to make the sync process both safe and fast. It's also an FTP, FTPS and SFTP client! Sometimes you don't need to synchronize, you need to work on your files! With the fully featured FTP client, you can access both local and remote files, edit and compare them and then transfer the changes. Rename, delete, transfer, create, CHMOD - SiteSync does all of it. Edit your files on the fly With the built-in mini editor, you can edit both local and remote files and save the changes right back with a single click. The mini editor is a comfortable place to work, with a minimalistic interface, which supports advanced stuff like syntax highlighting, CodeFolding, split view editing and much more. Main features: Advanced exclusion filter Excluding both files and folders is very easy with SiteSync. For each site you can define an unlimited set of exclusion rules, using exact matches, wildcards or even regular expression based matching. For instance, you can exclude all image files, or all folders with a specific name. With the combination of both exact and fuzzy matches, the possibilities are endless, and SiteSync comes with a cool Wildcard/Regex test tool, which will allow you to test new rules up against your site structure simply by typing in the rule and watching it visually being applied to the site. Advanced exclusion filter Built-in mini editor If you need to make modifications to some of your files before synchronizing, SiteSync can help you with that. The mini editor is a comfortable place to work, with a minimalistic interface, which supports advanced stuff like syntax highlighting, CodeFolding, split view editing and much more. At any time you may click the save button - if you're editing a local file, it will simply be saved, and if you're editing a remote file, the changes will of course be uploaded. As simple as that! Built-in mini editor Compare files visually With SiteSync, you can visually compare the local and remote version of a file with a single click. SiteSync will show you which lines differ, which lines only exist in one of the files and so on. Based on that information, you may choose to keep only one of the versions, by overwriting the other. Compare files visually Full featured FTP, FTPS and SFTP client We want SiteSync to be all you need to work on your remote site. Therefore it comes with a fully featured FTP client (it supports the FTPS and SFTP standards too!), allowing you to do some manual work, when syncing the entire site is not appropriate. You may edit both local and remote files with a single click from the FTP client, or make a visual comparison between a local and a remote file. Besides that, it renames, deletes, transfers and CHMOD's like any other FTP client! Full featured FTP client Quick upload tool With the quick upload tool, you can find files for upload based on their name or their latest modification date. Just a few clicks and you have a specific set of files for transfer. One click more, and SiteSync is transferring them. Quick upload tool Safe synchronization procedure Did you ever worry about using an application for synchronizing your websites because of the danger of overwriting files you didn't want to overwrite? No need to worry anymore, because with SiteSync, we have gone into great effort to make sure that no errors are made. The synchronization procedure is a two-step process, where files and folders are presented in two different ways, allowing you to check things thoroughly before the actual transfer starts. Besides that, you may always disable either uploading or downloading of files for your website, to make sure that no matter what happens, only files in either the local or the remote location are overwritten. In SiteSync, no transfers are performed without giving you the opportunity to exclude files from the transfer list! TSW WebCoder/phpCoder integration If you're a TSW WebCoder or TSW phpCoder user, you will love SiteSync even more. Since your WebCoder/phpCoder project already contains almost all the information required by SiteSync, you will get very easily through the site wizard. After that, you will be able to initiate synchronizations of your WebCoder/phpCoder projects directly from the application with a single click! Two way synchronization With SiteSync your files are synchronized both ways, unless you don't want it to. You can choose between only uploading files, only downloading files, or doing both, based on the comparison SiteSync makes before syncing. Doing two way synchronizations are especially useful if you're not the only one working on the site, so you may get the changes performed by other members of the team. Two way synchronization Visual comparison of local and remote site Before syncing your site, TSW SiteSync will do a complete comparison and show you the result with various color codes for a better overview. You will be able to see which files are only present either local or remotely, and which are newer than the others.
