VOIP phones, or IP phones are commonly used in all kinds of environments because they provide a reliable means of communicating. A VOIP, or ‘Voice over Internet Protocol’ makes use of your Internet connection and allows you to make and receive phone calls. To improve the use of your VOIP account T38 Modem was designed. T38 Modem is an application especially created to make use of the advantages of VOIP services and in this sense, T38 Modem uses your VOIP account to send and receive fax messages. T38 Modem works in unison with com0com, a kernel-mode virtual serial port driver that allows you to create virtual COM port pairs. You can use it as an interface for device emulators such as T38 Modem. The emulator uses one of the ports you create while the other can be set to communicate with a device. This way, you can connect T38 Mode to a device that can send and receive fax messages. The application installs quickly and effortlessly allowing you to use it in just a few seconds after you confirm the installation. It’s also a lightweight tool that doesn’t take a toll on your system’s resources. The T3 service can be run immediately after you set the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), your SIP username, enter your password, proxy address and select the COM port. T38 Modem also provides you with a real-time log of the activity which is automatically saved in a log file on your computer. All-in-all, T38 Modem is an application that you can use in your office as it enables you to send and receive fax messages through your VOIP account. The only disadvantage, thought that is an overstatement, is that you have to be well acquainted with the configuration steps and settings that are done before you can use it.
