Subtitles Wizard Description
Subtitles Wizard is a subtitle editor that allows users to convert and edit subtitles with just a few clicks. The tab-based interface groups all features right in the main window, which means there are no other configuration settings or menus beside the ones you see after launching the app. While some of the tabs aren't translated in English, Subtitles Wizard provides several handy utilities, including a powerful text editor and batch conversion to convert multiple files to a different format at once. The “Times” tab lets you adjust the speed of the subtitles and times shifting, while the “Modifications” screen gives you the necessary tools to replace a certain string with another one, set up word wrap and delete empty subtitles. The “Batch Conversion” utility can work with multiple files at the same time and let you choose from several output formats, such as MicroDVD, SubRip, SubViewer and Sub Station. Additionally, you can configure framerate, destination and decide whether you wish to keep current extensions and overwrite existing files. The conversion process goes blazing fast and Subtitles Wizard remains very light on hardware resources all the time. As you can see, Subtitles Wizard is pretty easy to use, especially for those who edit subtitles on a regular basis, with just a minimum footprint on computer resources. Of course, the app works okay on all Windows workstations and although there's no help file included in the package, you should have absolutely no problem when using it. Overall, Subtitles Wizard is a decent subtitle editor, but a more appealing interface with a perfect English translation is a must have. Reviewed by Bogdan Popa, last updated on February 8th, 2012
