There are a lot of teachers who rely on computers to make classroom presentations or explanations, and using a dedicated highlighting application can help them be more accurate in their presentation. Screen Highlighter is such a handy tool, especially since it can be used without any problems by PC novices as well as experts. One needs to pay attention during installation, as they might need to disable the third-party offers bundled with the setup. The actual application sits in the system tray and its functions can be triggered by pressing CTRL+H whenever users want to start highlighting items on their desktop. Pressing the same hotkey combination ends the current session, thus providing users with full control over their PC once again and clear all the markings (they will be restored when CTRL+H is pressed again). Once can customize the colors used within Screen Highlighter by default, to ensure better visibility for the audience. The line width can also be adjusted according to their liking. In addition to manually highlighting areas on the desktop, the application also features some dedicated hotkey combination that allow users to automatically stamp their screen with arrows, smiley faces, check signs or stars, but also with rectangles or circles. All of these items can later be moved to another position using solely the mouse.
