SSD Benchmark Description

As its name implies, SSD Benchmark is a cost-free benchmarking utility specifically deisgned to evaluate the performance of solid state drives. It can serve as a comparison tool between different system configurations, allowing you to choose the one that suits you best.Instant system information retrievalWith a minimalistic interface and simple options, this application is easy to use, regardless of the user's experience. It displays information about the system's hardware devices within its main window. To be more specific, you can view the CPU model and producer, its number of cores, the RAM memory and the system manufacturer, as well as the operating system version. Intensive and simple sequential testsFrom a drop-down list, you can choose the drive you want the application to run tests for. SSD Benchmark can launch two types of sequential tests: intensive and simple. Each of them determines the read and write speed of the SSD drive, which is displayed within the main window. With just a click, you can upload a screenshot of the application to Imgur, allowing others to view the test results for your system's configuration and compare it to their computer's performance. A benchmarking tool that leaves room for improvementSSD Benchmark has a long way to go before it can be compared to known benchmarking utilities, but it does provide you with a simple method to compare the performances of two or more solid state drives. With its simple looks and accessible options, it can assess the capabilities of any SSD, allowing you to take the best decision when upgrading your system. Unfortunately, it does not offer details about what its two test versions consist of and does not provide options for viewing a drive's SMART parameters, which would really add to its value.
