Private Browsing Description

Private Browsing is a browser add-on designed to preserve your privacy by hiding the browsing traces that are usually saved on your computer. Thus, you can make sure that the other computer users cannot review your websites. Before downloading and installing the extension you should know that it is not compatible with the latest version of the Firefox browser. Actually, you need to run Firefox 3 in order to use the add-on on your computer. As most of the Firefox extensions, it is easy to install and only requires you to restart the browser in order to view the Private Browsing icon in the add-on bar. By clicking this icon you can enable the private session and prevent the browser to save your history. Another method of starting the privacy mode is the Tools menu which is enriched with two new commands. One allows you to enable the Private Browsing and the other one to change the items that are filtered while browsing. Thus, you can enable the browser to store some of the information that you consider to be safe such as the form details, cookies or download history. Additionally, you can automatically start the browse in Privacy Mode. The add-on can also manage the Flash cookies which are saved into a different location. When closing the session, you have the option to be notified about the downloads that have not been deleted from the hard drive. Although the extension is functional, there are few users who still browse the Internet with Firefox 3. However, if you enjoy the classic menu and are unlikely to update your browser, Private Browsing can enable the privacy mode on your browser.
