Pros: This application makes it possible to completely account for all printing jobs on a network, tracks and accounts for all print jobs sent to Windows print servers. Tracking is possible against several items/parameters so that complete audit is possible. These indicators/parameters are job name, logon, originating PC name or IP address, printer, job and paper size, color, duplex, and two independent billing codes. Assigning billing codes makes it possible to bill end customers, be it internal or external, accurately. Accurate sheet counts for all printer languages & applications. Multi-copy Excel jobs are shown in parent-child format. Multi-copies from Excel for Mac is shown as a single line job. It can monitor and pause, or monitor and print incoming jobs. Print release against secure password, login or originating PC. Print release can be used securely on print server (kiosk mode). The application supports three different client types. Monitoring /supervising users can set up various job disallow and auto-deletion rules, including zero price for A4 Word jobs. Jobs can be reprinted whether with charge or without charge. The program can help set up copy and print vending shop easily. That’s possible by integrating vending machines from the same suppliers that allow cash and credit card charges. The database driving the application could be Access or SQL 2005 database. While Access could for a small or medium business one would need SQL 2005 for larger installations. The program supports a wide range of printers running into hundreds of monitored printers. Publishers promise to add any new printer quickly should there be a need.
