PSP Movie Creator is a program that can help you convert video files (e.g. AVI, MOV, DVD, MPG, RM) to the MP4 format, for your PSP. The interface of the tool is clean and simple to navigate through. You can import videos by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported (and neither is batch processing). So, you can specify the output destination and initiate the conversion process. It doesn't get any simpler than that. But you can also change the video resolution and set the file size, as well as preview the clip in a built-in media player, crop and trim it by marking the start and end point. Plus, you can directly transfer the converted files to your PSP device. In case of DVDs, you can select the audio stream, save the current frame as a video thumbnail, select chapters, as well as configure DVD settings (e.g. select the DVD navigator, video and audio decoder). The application requires a reasonable amount of time to finish an encoding job, while using a high amount of system resources. It contains a brief help file with snapshots and manages to keep a pretty good image and sound quality in the output files, although videos don't play smoothly. But our biggest disappointment is that the tool doesn't support batch processing. All in all, PSP Movie Creator is a pretty good program for video conversion and we recommend it to all users.
