NEBC Exchanger Description

NEBC Exchanger is a tool that allow users to download, upload, annotate and tag data and files they wish to share amongst collaborators. Experimentalists can 'submit' files for manipulation, processing and analysis to a bioinformatician, in a secure and organised fashion, even if on a remote site. Files can be annotated with essential details like owner, date, data type and state (raw / processed / log file, etc). Likewise, one or more bioinformaticians can use the system to manage the multitude of files they need to work with when participating in multiple projects. When jobs are completed, results can be returned to the owners properly documented.
