Microangelo Creation Description

Microangelo Creation is a powerful image editor designed to create and maintain icon and cursor graphics. This application also includes editing features from high-end graphics programs and can also help designers remove numerous technical issues related to icons and graphic formats. Main features: Project-based development: A Creation project can include multiple image formats just as an ICO resource. But unlike the ICO file format, a Creation project file can include multiple "layers" within each image. Creation also saves layer states, selection boundaries, virtual "drop shadow" effects, and other useful development information in project files. Layered Images: Layers add a new dimension and level of control to developing rich images. Layers can be edited and moved independently of one another, or linked together for synchronized movement or rotation. They can be re-arranged from top to bottom. Their opacity can be adjusted or they can be turned "off" entirely. Layers can have a "virtual" drop shadow effect. Alpha transparency: Creation supports alpha-blending and transparency effects throughout its tools and features. An anti-alias option smoothes jagged edhes of irregular lines and shapes. The opacity of each layer can be adjusted from zero to 100%. The opacity of each drawing tool can be adjusted as required while applying color. Creation's powerful Gradient tool includes an independent transparency/opacity channel. Freedom from fixed color palettes: Although Creation supports editing legacy 16-color and monochome images, all hi-color images are edited in full 24-bit color. This frees the artist from the tedious definiton of palette colors. More importantly, it allows rich editing features such as anti-aliasing, gradients, and alpha-blending of layers and colors that are not possible when tied to a fixed color palette. Graphic File Support: In addition to native support for ICO, CUR and MSD (project) files, Creation also imports popular graphic file formats such as PSD, JPG, BMP, and PNG. PSD (Photoshop) formatted files are imported and exported while maintaining all layers, layer states, and saved selections. Creation also exports full 32-bit color (RGB with alpha transparency) to PNG and BMP file formats.
