IFEO Modifier Description

IFEO Modifier is a small and reliable utility designed to add and remove values in the Image File Execution Options registry key. Modern malware can use this registry key to replace any process executed with itself. It's a little trick that works both ways. With this utility you can quickly see what executables exist in this registry key, delete them, or create your own to fight back. You can add the malware executables to this registry key and have any program of your choice replace them, so when the malware executes the replacement EXE runs instead. Included are two dummy EXEs for your malware fighting pleasure. The first displays a message box each time it runs in place of the malware. Great for when you want to know if the malware is still trying to execute itself. The second EXE is completely silent, great for when the malware keeps executing itself in rapid succession and you don't want a popup every time.
