Hide Files & Folders Description

Hide Files & Folders is an application that you can use to password-protect some of the files on your computer. The program not only that can restrict access to the user-defined items, but it can also hide the selected files completely, thus adding a new security layer to your computer. It’s all possible thanks to a multi-panel GUI that allows you to quickly browse local disks and select the target files, with the essential information displayed right in the main window. You can thus see protection status, name, type and protected by details for each selected item, but more options can be accessed via the dedicated configuration screen. Besides selecting the password to be used for accessing the target items, Hide Files & Folders also comes with a so-called “Unlock Time” to keep some of the files unlocked for a specific period of time. Hide Files & Folders doesn’t require any advanced computer experience, but a help section is also available to provide assistance in case someone needs it. The application runs okay on most Windows versions, but it doesn’t work at all on 64-bit flavors of the operating system. To sum up, Hide Files & Folders is a handy project that can protect your private files, regardless of their format.
