Excel Search & Replace Batch v2.0 is a search & replace and formatting tool for file formats XLS, XLSX, XLT and XLSM. This tool will also let you format background color, foreground color, font attributes like bold, Italic, underline and strike though in text strings found in the Excel books. This tool will work with Excel spreadsheets in MS Excel 2000, 2003, 2007, and 2010. The tool is an add-in to the MS Excel software. It adds some menu items on the tool bar of the Excel. The search and replace run through the sheets will highlight text strings and the style of highlighting could be based on several criteria that can be defined by the user. The interface is simple enough. It offers batch operations too. This utility has built-in color picker that makes it easy to apply different colors to different sets of words/strings found. Overall the formatting applied to these found and replace strings is easy. There is a stepwise processing mode that helps make things even easier. You start by selecting an output folder. Then start the find and replace process. Log files record any events happening during the process. This can help debug any problems that might happen. It is possible to find special characters like paragraph, tab, lines as you do in MS Excel etc. in many XLS, XLSX and XLSM files. Wildcard can be used to find strings/words.
