Erase Disk Description

Erase Disk is a software tool developed in Java, specifically to help you replace the empty space on your computer with large temporary files. This utility is portable, and therefore, you can bypass the installation process, and copy the program files to any location on the HDD and double-click the EXE to run it. What’s more, by placing the aforementioned files to an external data drive, you make it possible to launch Erase Disk on any computer you can connect to. It is also important to mention that the Windows registry will not suffer any changes, and no files will remain after its removal. Simple-to-use interfaceThe UI presents a fairly simple design, as it is built as a wizard, guiding you every step of the way. This will make it very easy for both experienced people and beginners to find their way around it, without facing problems. Seamless performanceOnce you have selected a folder, you are required to choose the type of data the temp files should contains. To be more precise you can write zero and one digits, as well as random data, and choose to verify everything when the process is done. Last, but not least, all you have to do is click the “Start” button and let the software app do the rest. This process does not hinder the computer’s performance, as it requires minimal to moderate CPU and RAM. ConclusionTo sum up, Erase Disk is a pretty handy piece of software which overwrites your drive with large temporary files. It has a relatively good response time, an intuitive environment and our tests did not divulge any errors or crashes. However, an update is clearly in order.
