Electric Field of a Sphere with Uniform Charge Density Description
This is a Java simulation that uses a Gaussian surface to demonstrate the electric field for a sphere with a uniform charge density as the radius is increased. The gray arrows represent the magnitude and direction of the electric field generated by the sphere. There is a table below the chart which gives the numerical value of the field and flux through the Gaussian surface. You can control the radius of the sphere by using the "Radius of Sphere" slider and the radius of the Gaussian surface by using the "Radius of Gaussian Surface" slider. The charge density slider allows you to control the charge density throughout the sphere.
