Eclipse - StartExplorer Description

The StartExplorer Eclipse plug-in is a small, quick tool developed by Bastian Krol. As the name of the tool implies, this is an Eclipse plug-in that allows you to start the Windows Explorer from Eclipse. It also does several other nice things. In Eclipse if you are looking at an element from the Navigator or the Package Explorer you can select an element, click right over it, select the StartExplorer option and open it in Windows Explorer, the System Editor, the Command prompt or just copy the element to the clipboard. For example, you are working with a Java package in Eclipse, you can just select it from Eclipse using StartExplorer and a Windows Explorer will open showing you where the actual package file is located in your computer. The application is as simple as that and it actually saves times when searching for files or opening and copy-pasting elements to be used in the clipboard or in the command line. Perhaps, the only downside is that it does not have an automatic installer. However, it can be installed from Eclipse's plug-in section. Eclipse is very handy in use. Ismael Mireles Editor rating:
