Dynamics CRM Scanner and PDF Plug-in extends couple of functions of the Dynamics CRM system available from MS. These include the document scanning capability and PDF creation capability in the software. Now you can scan and/or compose documents from existing images into entity`s document location. The document formats this tool can handle include PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, BMP and GIF formats. The Plug-in includes an OCR option so that images can be converted to text. Scanned documents then becomes fully searchable. The plug-in also helps create a two way link between SharePoint document and CRM entity. It also propagates CRM entity properties to the SharePoint document properties. With these you can open related CRM entity from the SharePoint view. That helps integration of SharePoint Server and lets CRM 2011 users and non- CRM users to work together as a team. It helps you to achieve a better flow of information inside and outside the Microsoft Dynamics CRM organization. The plug-in adds a button to the Dynamics menu, making it easy to get single click scanning done. Client part of the Plug-in can also be used stand alone rather than as a part of the SharePoint. It will then be useful to store your documents in the file system. The interface is easy enough for any of your team members to master, so that there is no training costs involved.
