DxO Optics Pro Description

DxO Optics Pro is a powerful application that helps you enhance and correct your photos. It’s a comprehensive and feature-rich program created especially for photographers, both amateur and professionals, that want to overpass the camera’s limitations and improve the taken pictures. This complex utility includes a lot of features, functions, options and tools, and supports a large variety of image file formats, both the RAW ones that were just extracted from cameras, and raster ones like the popular JPEG. I was especially impressed by DxO Optics Pro’s automatic corrections. Not only it can correct the photos automatically, with little user intervention required, but it also corrects them very accurately. It takes care of every possible problem, may it be noise issues, vignetting trouble, distortions, chromatic aberrations, lens softness, light-related errors, contrast inaccuracies, and so on. Geometric corrections are also supported, letting you deal with perspective skewing and other similar issues. All these can be automatically fixed by the program’s smart algorithms, or changed individually by the users who need more thorough control. This tool doesn’t only allow fixing photos, but also enhancing and modifying them with ease. You can add various effects and change the look of your photos. Some neat and handy presets are also available. I also like its comprehensive exporting capabilities that let you save the processed photos to various formats or directly to specific destinations like a Facebook page or to Flickr. Though it’s a complex tool meant especially for computer-savvy people, its interface is straightforward, ergonomic, and intuitive. It speeds up the workflow considerably and makes its learning curve less steep. Cutting long story short, DxO Optics Pro is a great tool. It’s less complex and popular than the acknowledged Adobe Photoshop, but it can produce the same results in a much easier manner. Anyway, it’s clearly much better and more powerful than the large majority of image editing, manipulation and fixing tools on the market. Margie Smeer Editor rating:
