DoremiSoft AVI to FLV Converter is a very basic video converter. It can accept only one file format as input, AVI, and it can convert that format to either FLV or an MP3 file. If you select MP3 as the output format, you will be extracting the audio off your AVI file and saving it to a new MP3 file. The application really couldn't be any simpler. The main window shows only two conversion settings: Device and Presets. These are both drop-down menus. The "Device" one shows only "FLV", and the "Presets" menu shows the two supported file formats. There is a little nuisance in selecting the output folder. The app wouldn't just let me select a folder; it wanted me to select a file. I solved this by selecting a file on my desktop and erasing the file name, leaving only the desktop folder. Then I wrote down a file name for the converted file, which you have to do every time you use the app. The converted FLV file played great on VLC. The video was a little more pixelated than the source file, but that is to be expected with low-quality FLV files. The audio played great. José Fernández Editor rating:
