Demonstration Screen Description

Demonstration Screen is a small-sized application that helps students record their teacher's Windows desktop activity in real time. It was designed mainly to be used by teachers and students, but with it users can also create effective training materials or presentations for company meetings. All the student's computers are connected with the teacher's PC in a LAN using the TCP/IP protocol. In case they cannot connect through the local network, the tools offers them the possibility to connect to their teacher's PC over the Internet. This utility can be set to automatically capture screenshots of the teacher's monitor with intervals between 1 to 3600 seconds or manually by PrintScreen button. Users can choose whether they prefer to view the demonstration in full screen or active window.Simple yet efficient interfaceThe interface of the application consists of a single window, that allows users to add new workstations to the client-server network. From there, they are also able to see how many students are online and how many attend to the teacher's shared demonstration. The program works either in a local network or over the Internet and it supports up to 100 simultaneous client connections. To safe keep their courses, students have the possibility to save each screenshot as an image file, as well as print the ones they are interested in. Also, they can record all snapshots into an archive. Easy means for students to communicate with their teacher through chatA very useful feature is that all students can communicate in real time with their teacher through text messages. This is a very interactive method for the teacher to pose questions to its students and for pupils to ask for details whenever they feel they haven't understood certain explanations.
