De-Identifier Description

DeID is used to remove patient identification from flow cytometry standard (FCS) data files. This is achieved by writing a copy of the data file with selected keyword values removed. Drag FCS files or folders containing them into the file list panel. The list may be trimmed by selecting a file and deleting it using the 'X' button. Select one file as a sample and click 'Select keywords' to define the list of keywords to be cleared. Caution: Don't remove key values provided by the cytometer; the file may become unreadable. Enter one or more characters to be prepended to the written file names. Leaving this field blank is allowed but not recommended as the written files may then be confused with the originals. Optionally, browse to and select a new folder for writing the new files. This is mandatory if no prepend text is entered. Get De-Identifier and give it a try to see what it's all about!
