Craigslist Widget is a lightweight Yahoo! widget built specifically for helping you view and read the advertisements provided by the online ads website, Craigslist, directly from you screen. It boasts a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to perform most operations with just a few clicks. The gadget lets you display advertisements based on a user-defined word, and choose the category from where the tool grabs the information, namely Apartments, Activities, Volunteers, Tickets, and many other. What’s more, you can change the layout of the widget by selecting from different color schemes, choose the number of results to be displayed in the primary panel (five or eight), set up the opacity, and pick the time when the utility automatically refreshes the information. Last but not least, you are allowed to choose the city and view a list with the search history. Other options offered by the Yahoo! environment give you the possibility to prevent the windows from being dragged, set the opacity level, and ignore mouse events. You can also make the gadget stay on top of other applications, and this proves to pretty useful, especially when dealing with multiple tools at the same time. What’s more, you can hide or close the widget, and move it to any area of the screen. Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to set up the dedicated parameters, even rookies can master the entire process with minimum effort. During our testing we have noticed that Craigslist Widget carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality. To sum things up, Craigslist Widget offers a simple yet efficient software solution when it comes to helping you stay up-to-date with the Craigslist advertisements.
