Editor's review: From being merely the means of transportation, many modern automobiles are being introduced as powerful human controlled “beasts”, designed to attain horrifying speeds. Now, for many people, roads are the race tracks that go far beyond being simple paths for driving vehicles. But unfortunately, if you try to race on the real roads, you may eventually find yourself busted by cops or may even get into some serious accidents, thus risking your life. For such people, video games can provide the best platform for all the racing based action in a simulated environment with varying levels of virtual reality according to the individual game. One such racing game is Championship PRO-AM v.1.0. Championship PRO-AM v.1.0 is a track based racing game by GamesFabrique. The game has a colorful isometric interface which is far from being realistic but simply meant for entertainment. There are about 24 racing tracks in the game and you will find five other opponents in each race who are always looking to beat you. You have to control your racing machine very tactically as high speed is not the only key to winning every level. The game has a lap based circuit racing where you have to complete a number of laps on a track and top to the end of final lap. Apart from the five opponents, you have to watch out for various other obstacles in the game like water, oil slicks, pop up walls etc. which may come up any time and a single mistake can make you turn out to be the last player touching the finish line. On the way, you can pick up various power ups and boosts which will help you get the top spot in the race. Championship PRO-AM v.1.0 is overall, a nice entertaining racing game which will put all your speed and accuracy to a challenging test.
