Auto Time Adjuster Description

Automatically measure plug-in latency Compensating for plug-in latency in Pro Tools LE and M-Powered is currently a manual task, due to it's lack of in-built delay compensation (ADC). Once you've worked out your tracks' latencies manually, you need to either nudge individual audio regions backwards or forwards on the timeline, or use the included Time Adjuster plugin to even up the delays track by track. One change can mean a lot of tweaks, and the process has to be repeated every time you add or remove a plug-in with latency. Auto Time Adjuster dramatically speeds up this process by automatically measuring plug-in latency, using a short burst of audio or "ping". It then calculates and applies the necessary delays to each track in your mix. As ATA measures the actual latency caused by plug-ins, it provides the tightest timing possible. Most native ADC systems rely on the latency values reported by plugins, but not all plug-ins report their delay accurately. See the manual and the following tutorials and example sessions for in-depth information.
