American Gladiators Description

Editor's review: American Gladiators is a video game, developed over two decades back in 1991 which gained immense popularity not only in the U.S, but virtually all over the world. The game was based on the massively popular television game show by the same name. Years have gone by since it was launched, but the popularity of the game has hardly undergone any decline, meaning it is still very much popular amongst gamers from a wide range of age groups and all across the world. Subsequently many different avatars of the game has hit the market in the course of these 20 odd years, but none of those could surpass the enormous popularity enjoyed by the original version of American Gladiators. American Gladiator 1.0 opens with a colorful window featuring a number of models with the American flag in the background- just like the poster for the show itself. And as one can expect from looking at the massive popularity enjoyed by the game, the graphics quality is also highly impressive and so is the soundtrack. The players are required to take one-on-one with 4 different gladiators individually in order to win. The players also require human cannonballs by their side in order to take a head-on and win against the four mighty gladiators. There are many additional challenges blended quite skillfully in order to make it a bit harder for the player to successfully accomplish his mission. While being knocked off the battleground (or playground - whatever you may prefer to call it), the fallen gladiators shouts their lungs off- humorously though. In addition to being equipped with so many fun elements, what takes the popularity of the game even further is the fact that it comes absolutely for free. Overall, quite a fun and addictive game that deserves no less than a score of three rating points out of five. It could though work on its storyline to make it more attractive.
