ASUS Printer Setup Description

An ASUS router can be used as a printer and scanner server, enabling you to share a multifunctional pheripheral across a wireless network. ASUS Printer Setup is a small utility that aims to give you a helping hand in setting up the USB printer and configuring the connection between the printer, the router and your computer. The application is very easy to use, since your only task is to follow the on-screen instructions that are displayed as you go through each step of the wizard. You are presented with both text explanations and graphical animations that show you exactly what you must do, so there is no way that you can't successfully complete the operation. Your first task is to connect the PC to the router via Wi-Fi or wired connection and then plug in the printer's USB cable in the router port. The application proceeds to installing and trying to detect the presence of the wireless router that supports printer sharing. The initial setup might take a while, so please be patient. Once a functioning router is detected, you must install the printer driver on the computer. When the setup is complete, the printer can be used by any device connected to the same wireless network for document scanning or printing operations. ASUS Printer Setup is a simple way to make your multi-functional printer accessible throughout a wireless network. It features intelligible instructions and clear graphical representations, guiding you through each required step. Reviewed by Mihaela Citea, last updated on February 11th, 2014
