widescapeWeather is a lightweight Yahoo! widget built specifically for helping you keep an eye on the weather conditions for a given location right from your desktop. It sports a clean and intuitive interface that offers a rich-featured set of tweaking options. The gadget provides weather forecasts for the next three days, and lets you view additional information about the meteorological conditions by simply hovering the mouse cursor over the desired day. What’s more, you can hide or show the forecasts, update the weather data, enter your location by providing details about the ZIP code, city, state, or country, use metric units, and adjust the size of the widget. You can also make the utility display the location and date, select the date format, choose between different themes, as well as alter the color and opacity for the icon, text, background, and border. Other options offered by the Yahoo! environment give you the possibility to prevent the windows from being dragged, set the opacity level, and ignore mouse events. You can make the gadget stay on top of other applications, and this proves to pretty useful, especially when dealing with multiple tools at the same time.
