newLISP is a simple-to-use software utility that permits you to write programming code in the LISP language. It features support for syntax highlighting and several handy tools.Clean and intuitive interfaceThe program opts for a regular window with a plain and simple structure that allows you to immediately get started with a LISP project. Multiple tabs are supported, so you can work with multiple files simultaneously. Customize program preferences and use handy toolsIt is possible to disable syntax highlighting, view the total number of words and their size, convert selected text to uppercase, change the viewing style, as well as increase or decrease the font and switch to a different font type. You can also use a function for searching and replacing text as well as jump to a particular line or position. The project can be saved to file and resumed at a later time, ran and restarted. Evaluation and conclusionThe app worked smoothly in our tests without any errors. It did not hang or crash, had a minimal impact on system performance, and executed commands swiftly. To conclude, although it is not particularly rich in its skill set, newLISP provides users with a simple and effective method to writing programming code in the LISP language.
