iiV Description

iiV is a small, simple, Java based application specially designed to offer users a brain imaging data display tool. iiV is composed of a main display window and multiple dialog windows. The display window displays data slices, voxel values, images, color bars, simple shapes, and text objects. Each displayed object may be individually selected, moved, zoomed, rotated, etc. Main features: displays 3-D data sets as images sliced perpendicular to any of the 3 major axis displays maximum (minimum) intensity projections (MIP) supports ANALYZE, Siemens/ECAT/ECAT7, Stimulate SDT, DICOM, NIfTI, NEUROSTAT 3D-SSP dat, and raw data formats extends to read new data formats with no modifications to existing code displays GIF, JPEG and PPM images displays color bars, text objects, simple shapes and voxels values keeps each displayed item as an individual object for independent updating of settings drags objects to any display location labels data slices with orientation and slice numbers (or real world coordinates) permits image transforms of zooming, rotating, cropping, and flipping supports independent color maps for each displayed object allows complete control of linear scaling for mapping input data to display colors supports color map opacity levels from opaque to transparent for overlaying images with see-through overlays data on top of displayed data duplicating the slice, view, zoom, rotation, etc. groups objects to lock their relative positions displays pixel locations and values for multiple objects simultaneously tracks pixel location with cross hairs over objects quantitates pixel values to reflect true data values transforms pixel locations based on an input transform to reflect convenient coordinates (e.g., Talairach, MNI space) records pixel values and locations updates any data slice and crosshairs to automatically display the same location the mouse was released over another data slice permits fine adjustment of cross hair or object positions via arrow key permits slice and cross hair jump to specified location hides control menu and dialogs for maximizing the display area includes a script language that duplicates and extends the GUI commands with text commands saves the display contents as a script allowing redisplay with editable objects saves the display contents as a GIF or PPM image saves users' preferred startup settings supports full undo/redo supports cut and paste to
