Copyright infringements are very common in almost any entertainment industry, whether it's music, cinema or TV. That's why many publishers or copyright holders opt for DRM protection (Digital rights management) to prevent the users from sharing their products (tunes, TV shows, etc.). freeTunes is an audio converter that enables you to change the format of any DRM protected tune. My advise for you is to be careful to follow the program's indications during its installation (shut down all running anti-virus applications) or the application won't install properly. Although the program supports batch processing, a significant disadvantage when converting a large number of audio files is that you won't be able to define individual settings for each processed file. This might be the most annoying aspect I found while converting the necessary files and made me lose plenty of time. Also, it took a while for freeTunes to display the results, hopefully because my computer is slow. If not, I think the program might need some improvements at this department. On the other hand, I have nothing bad to say about the output files, as the results were exactly the ones I was going for. freeTunes also let me play the tunes before the conversion process, edit their ID3 tags and even look for covers, all these directly from its interface.
