flacCDburner Description

flacCDburner is a software utility whose sole purpose is to aid individuals in burning audio tracks, in a FLAC format to a CD, with a minimum amount of effort. Smooth setup and clean interfaceOn the one hand, the installation process you are required to go through is a piece of cake, as it does not offer you to download products that are not actually vital for the program to fully function, and it does not last longer than a few seconds. On the other hand, the interface you come by presents a very simple design, as it only encloses a small menu bar, a few buttons and a pane in which to view uploaded files. It becomes quite clear that all types of users can work with it, regardless of their previous experience with computers. Upload items with the file browser and view file infoThis software tool only supports import from FLAC files, which is considered to be a small setback. Moreover, you can only upload items with the help of the built-in file browser, as the “drag and drop” feature is not incorporated. All added items in the main window are listed along with details such as name, total length, status and percentage. You can use both 650MB and 700MB CDs, while you can also view the approximate amount of space left on a disc with the help of an integrated progress bar. No other notable options are available. Conclusion and performanceThe CPU and memory usage is low to moderate, which means that the computer’s performance is not going to be affected too much, yet it might be a good idea not to use it alongside other demanding products. The response time is quite good, the interface is user-friendly and we did not pick up on any bugs or crashes. All in all, flacCDburner proves to be a pretty decent piece of software, yet it lacks many options that other similar applications present.
