fireform Description

fireform is an extension developed for Mozilla Firefox that you can use to create fill forms for websites. This way, Firefox is able to automatically input them on your behalf, offering you a less time-consuming user experience. Once this extension is installed into Firefox (by dragging and dropping the XPI file into the Add-ons panel), you must restart the web browser to apply changes. fireform creates an icon in the status bar, together with an entry in the Tools menu. You can create a simple or advanced setup profile, by entering your name (e.g. title, last name), address (e.g. zip code, state), contact information (e.g. email address, phone number) and date of birth, as well as by assigning a hotkey. You can create as many profiles as you want and export them to the XML format for safekeeping. fireform can be set to automatically overwrite fill fields. Plus, you can get a fake profile from a website, based on the country, language and gender you select, in order to preserve anonymity on suspicious websites. In advanced mode you can add custom fields and focus on the descriptions, values, URLs and triggers. Inserting the fill forms of a profile into the current webpage is effortlessly done, by clicking the fireform icon in the status bar. The Firefox extension is very light on the system resources and does not burden the web browser in any way. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the tool did not hang or crash. However, it has not been updated for a very long time, so the add-on is not compatible with newer Firefox editions. Nevertheless, fireform provides Firefox users with a simple method of inputting fill forms into websites. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on June 1st, 2013
