astLib Description

A set of Python modules that provides some tools for research astronomers It can be used for astronomical plots, some statistics, common calculations, coordinate conversions, and manipulating FITS images with World Coordinate System (WCS) information through PyWCSTools - a simple wrapping of WCSTools by Doug Mink. PyWCSTools is distributed (and developed) as part of astLib. This release adds new code for fitting Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs) using stellar population models in the astSED module, plus several other new features. A major bug that previously prevented the astPlots.ImagePlot class from working under python 2.6 is also fixed in this release.
