Apart from sign-makers, which sheet-metal specialist or waterjet-cutting subcontractor has never had to cut out lettering, logos or art work ? The act/ sign software, based on Alma's cutting expertise, has been specifically designed to answer these needs. act/sign groups the following functionalities: The drawing and vectorization of text from any TrueType font: the curves are automatically transformed into lines and arcs. It is also possible to arrange spacing, to adjust the text horizontally and vertically within a template, etc. The import of images from any TWAIN-compatible input (scanner, digital camera) and via JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PNG, PSD, PCX, TGA, WBMP, WMF and EMF formats. The transformation of images into logotypes or marquetry for which act/sign automatically separates the different colours into so many drawings and enables to work on (luminosity / contrast, threshold, colouring, etc.) for a better rendering. The transformation of an image or a photo into a part to be punched. The digitizing of contours from any ASCII-digitizer. DXF or DPR export to Alma's act/cut CAM-cutting/punching software for machining. Platforms supported: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows ME
