Xidel Description
Xidel was designed as an open source, useful and user-friendly Command Line-based instrument that allows you to extract data from websites. Xidel can extract data with the help of XQuery/XPath expressions, CSS 3 selectors and pattern-matching templates. The files can be download over HTTP/S connections and Xidel can follow redirections, links and previously extracted values. Main features: Output formats: Adhoc: just prints the data in a human readable format JSON: encodes the data in a json (as array of all pages of objects with the extracted values as properties ) XML: encodes the data similarly in a xml
