Windows Event Viewer Plus Description

Windows Event Viewer Plus is a small-sized and portable application that enables users to view Windows event logs faster that using the built-in utility. It comes packed with a useful set of options dedicated to administrators. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the executable file in a custom directory on the hard disk and just click it to run. It is also possible to save Windows Event Viewer Plus to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort and no previous installers, as long as you have administrative privileges. What's more, the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal. The interface is represented by a regular window with a clean and intuitive structure, where you can view event logs for applications, hardware events, Internet Explorer, media center, Windows PowerShell, and so on. Details include the type, date, time, ID, source and originating user name for each event. Double-clicking an entry shows this information and more details in a separate panel, and they can be exported to a DOC or TXT file for closer inspection, as well as looked up online. In addition, it is possible to connect to a remote PC to view event logs, check disks, perform a memory diagnostics, access the performance monitor in Windows, and so on. The software application runs on a pretty low amount of CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the computer's overall performance. It has a good response time and displays information quickly. No error dialogs popped up in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. All in all, Windows Event Viewer Plus offers a simple solution to checking out system events.
