WheresJames Startup Manager is an application manager for Windows. The application places its icon in your system tray. It allows you to remove applications from the list of those starting with Windows. There is a variety of ways to do this without this application, but this tool offers easy access to the registry keys that contain startup information. When you click on the tray icon, a menu will pop-up with a list of folders at the top. These are the registry keys mentioned above. By simply moving your mouse over them, you will see all the applications in the Start-up list. You can uncheck the applications to remove them from the list. If you want to add new apps, click on "Add shortcut", which is available in all the folders. A good thing about this app is that it not only shows startup apps relevant to your user account, but also those that were set for the local machine. There is also a task list, which shows all the applications that are running. You can save the list to a text file, but you can't terminate any of them.
