WebX Description

When talking about browsers, implementing new options to overpass the feature set of the major players is, without a doubt, a difficult task. Nevertheless, developers try to create navigators that can address a certain problem, such as ease of use, security issues and so on. WebX is one of the many lightweight web browsers that is focused on ease of use and speed, rather than functionality and security. Its main purpose is to provide a user-friendly navigator that allows the user to access the desired webpages quickly and without having to deal with complicated configurations. The tab-based interface enables you to access more than one page at the same time and quickly switch between visited URLs. Considering its goal, the application's GUI consists of a single window that comprises basic navigation buttons, refresh and stop buttons, along with the address bar and a few options for removing existing tabs and creating new ones. Aside from being able to create as many tabs as you want, there is nothing special about this browser and the lack of configuration options is what makes it get lost in the abundance of applications of its kind. Based on the Internet Explorer engine, the webpage loading times are reasonable, so there is no problem with the browsing speed. However, it does not provide browsing history, URL suggestions and no download manager is included, as you would expect from a reliable web browser. On top of this, you have to press the 'Go' button to access the desired webpage after entering the URL, since the 'Enter' function does not work. WebX is indeed lightweight and provides decent navigation speed. However, there are many enhancements that need to be implemented to add to its value, since there are numerous other much more reliable and feature-packed alternatives out there.
