Web Color Description

Web Color is a handy little graphics utility that allows you to view, edit and manipulate graphics to ensure they are optimised for the internet. It has everything you would expect from such a tool, while dispensing with all the excess baggage commonly featured in graphics package designed to be all things to all people. There is no need to wade through pages of a manual before you can begin to use the program either - simply open your image and away you go. Capable of handling gif, jpeg, png and bmp formats, there isn't a standard web image format not supported. With Web Color you are able to alter pretty much everything about an image you would want to. Convert an image to another format, resize, rotate, flip, add effects and rename. The various effects available include blur, emboss and sharpen, among many others. Images can also be converted into greyscale and negative, and can be color-swapped (i.e. converted from RGB to BGR - red becomes blue, and so on). There are some very handy tools informing you about an image's color details. You can see how many unique colors an image uses, what the RGB and hexidecimal codes are for any color, and there is even a small chart of web colors included, informing you of their generic web names.
