WSTT - Writing System Transformation Tool Description
WSTT is a Firefox addon designed to transform page characters from one writing system to another. It has been designed to act as a learning tool for anyone trying to master a foreigner alphabet, or any other form of writing system. WSTT progressively replaces the browser current loaded page "native" characters with their correspondents from a foreigner system, but keeping the text native language (idiom). In such a way, the user has the opportunity to focus on the alphabet as a preparation to study a foreigner language written in a system different from his own native one. The program can be adjusted to perform different levels of transformation, either totally replacing the characters or "in stages" chosen by the user. As this, the user can progressively increase the level of transformation as he or she fills more comfortable with the new alphabet.
