The Volto Interceptor application was designed to protect you from Visual Basic Script viruses by allowing you to select which scripts you will trust. If you inadvertently download a script virus, it will be intercepted and not executed. The power of scripting languages such as Visual Basic Script (VBS) has been exploited recently to create and distribute viruses or worms that can cause severe damage to data on a PC, as well as major disruption to email operations. Instead of disabling scripting, or blocking scripts known to be bad, Volto Interceptor runs only those scripts marked by the user as being safe and trusted. If a new virus appears, there is no need to update the program. Volto Interceptor uses highly secure digital signature technology to protect and identify trusted scripts, and the level of security is fully configurable.
