VIBar Description

VIBar is a lightweight application that is able to generate and print barcodes, which can be read by special optical scanners. It sports a clean and simple interface that can be mastered even by less experienced users. Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this tool, even rookies can make the most out of every single built-in feature. The main window is minimalist and displays the generated barcodes, which can be dragged and dropped to any area of the panel, and you can also change their height by using the mouse cursor. VIBar provides several configuration settings for helping you create barcodes from scratch, as you can enter the barcode text in the dedicated dialogs, and pick the font style and size. It is also possible to make the application draw barcodes lines, by specifying the barcode type, width and height, bar line and space color. Moreover, you can print the barcodes by using the TrueType fonts, provided that you have previously installed them on your computer. Another feature that is worth mentioning is the possibility of viewing the barcodes before actually printing them. You are allowed to zoom in or out of different pages, and go to the next or previous one. During our testing we have noticed that VIBar is able to create barcodes pretty quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small software utility, it manages to remain light on the system resources, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer. All in all, VIBar proves to be a handy program that is able to create and print barcodes quickly.
